Happy Anniversary

....to Michael and me!!!

Okay, so a little late...two months late exactly. Don't worry though, we did celebrate on the actual day, weekend before, weekend after...and the entire time we were in Hawaii....but I'm just now blogging about it.

On June 9, 2009, we celebrated our 2nd year of marriage. In some ways, it feels like 10 years and in others, no more than 2 months. All in all, we've had a lot of fun and grown stronger than we ever imagined.

Every year, we always pull out the photo album and wedding video to look back at our special day and to meditate on our vows. We have such incredible memories of our wedding and especially our wonderful honeymoon!!

Here's a slideshow of some of our favorite pictures from June 2007 - our wedding day and our honeymoon (in Moorea and Bora Bora)!

Since we had already celebrated our anniversary about 5 times during our Hawaiian vacation, we had a fairly low key night, but I got the greatest surprise!! When I came home from work, I walked in to greet my babies - Madeline and Kosmo. But I noticed something strange...there were a bunch of leaves in their gate area. So I walked outside to check things out, and I saw great big, gorgeous 7 foot magnolia tree! I got a little freaked out though because I knew for a fact Michael had not left his office that day. Also, we have a doggie door and a locked backyard, so someone would really have to know the in's and out's of our backyard in order to get the tree back there (or else they would have had to drag it through our house). Also, Michael knew that I was dying for a magnolia tree so I called him immediately and yelled "there is a magnolia tree in our backyard!!!!". He started laughing, so happy that he had truly surprised me. He explained that Carter was his partner-in-crime and had delivered it earlier in the day. This made sense because Carter is only person who knows about our crazy dogs and the gate code, and we trust him completely.

Now, I have this gorgeous tree in my backyard and one of my favorite anniversary stories to tell! Michael was so thoughtful, and it was a great anniversary surprise!! Thanks honey! Here's to many, many more anniversaries to come! Love you Hubby!
